This site is mostly devoted to my research and professional activities. All my research is motivated by large-scale, real-world engineering problems arising from finite element and finite volume discretizations of PDEs, in particular CFD.
I am interested in both the analysis and the development of novel algorithms, as well as their efficient implementation on high-performance computing using modern software techniques (strong focus on object-orientation, design patterns, templated software, interfaces between compiled and scripted languages).
Some areas of expertise are optimization methods, scientific visualization techniques, data analysis, numerical approximations of PDEs, web-based applications for engineering knowledge management.
